Our Vision
TO EMPOWER AND EQUIP YOUNG INDIGENOUS LEADERS TO CHANGE THEIR COMMUNITY FOR CHRIST.
Our Approach
Raising indigenous leaders
City life is a relational, holistic, community-based ministry that desires to empower youth to change their community for Christ through creative programming and building healthy relationships with adult mentors.
This ministry model also focuses on the raising of indigenous leaders from the young people in their own community and offers opportunities to develop as leaders and give back to their community, demonstrating a “live here, lead here” model.
Our Programs & Activities
Club: City Life Club is a fun, twice-weekly gathering where young people can share a meal, talk about relevant topics, play games, hear a biblically-themed message, and have the opportunity to build healthy, Christ-centered relationships.
Soccer & ESL ministry: A weekly after school ESL lesson and soccer program with students.
Group mentoring: City Life leaders also work with young people on building healthy social and emotional wellness, introducing new skills, and developing young leaders in Life Skills classes, “Rebalance”, and other activities.
1 on 1 mentoring
“Honestly, I feel like YFC is my second family. And that’s something I really appreciate because I know that I have people who actually care and are willing to be there for me and to help me through my struggles and my problems. It’s brought me a long way and it’s been encouraging for me.” - City Life Student
