1 Corinthians 7:7 tells us that "each has his own gift from God." We'd love for you to find a way to use those gifts in YFC's mission of raising up lifelong followers of Jesus in the Rockford area. Here are some volunteer opportunities:
See the Story Meal Teams: Come serve a meal to teens and see YFC's ministry in action. These teams will provide a meal for 40-60 young people at City Life (Thursday evenings, 6:30-8:30 PM, I.D. Pennock YMCA Log Lodge). Here is a link if you are interested including available dates to serve.
Ministry Leaders/Mentors: Become an active ministry leader/mentor through City Life, Campus Life, or Juvenile Justice Ministry. Invest in an authentic, Christ-sharing relationship with a disadvantaged teen in our community, empowering them spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically. Contact a staff member about getting involved.
Prayer Team: We believe and need the power of prayer as we minister in the community. Contact a staff member about joining a prayer team and receiving specific requests concerning YFC's various ministries.
Leadership Development: Our staff and ministry leaders always need to be challenged to become more effective as leaders. If you have passion for encouraging young leaders in our community, please join us for a staff/volunteer meeting and share a leadership challenge. Contact Haddon Anderson (firstname.lastname@example.org) regarding such an opportunity.
If you are interested in becoming a Ministry Leader/Mentor, you can view the volunteer application and background check consent form below.
